Kendrick Perkins, a former professional basketball player and current sports analyst, recently made some bold statements about fellow analysts Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal. According to him, it’s quite clear that these two don’t actually watch basketball.
Perkins played in the NBA for 14 seasons before transitioning into his role as an ESPN commentator. He has always been known for his candidness both on and off the court. This time around, he directed his frank opinions towards Barkley and O’Neal during a recent interview.

“Look,” continued Perkins, “I’m not saying they don’t know basketball. They do, and their careers attest to that fact.” His main point is that the game has evolved since Barkley and O’Neal were active players.
